Both properties offer lessons and rentals as well as a number of restaurants and shops where the non-skiers in your family can relax.
Mountain High Resort
Mountain High Resort, located about 75 miles from Centennial in the San Gabriel Mountains, is one of the most popular resorts in the state. With three separate areas, Mountain High has something for everyone. Love today’s freestyle culture? You’ll want to check out the West Resort. More interested in long trails and challenging slopes? The East Resort is for you. Looking to ski with the whole family? Head over to the North Resort. And if you’d rather just curl up with a good book and cup of hot chocolate, each resort has its own lodge that’s perfect for lounging.
Snow Valley Mountain Resort
If sledding is more your style, visit Snow Valley Mountain Resort. On weekends (including Fridays) and holidays, you can head up the mountain on a scenic chairlift ride before coming back down on the longest downhill sled ride in the region. The price includes your sled, so don’t worry about bringing your own! Snow Valley also features trails for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and ability levels as well as private and group lessons.
Mt. Baldy Resort
Feeling daring? Mt. Baldy Resort is known for its black-diamond and double-black-diamond runs. But it’s not just for experts: Mt.
