You love your pets and you want to spend more time with them, take them fun places and show them that a drive in the car does not have to mean another trip to the vet. We can help! Here are eight pet-friendly places near Centennial in Menifee to take your four-legged friends for their own adventure.
Make Them Feel at Home
Your family feels at home in your house, and everyone has their special area. But what about your pets? It’s a good idea to make a special space for your canine and feline pals so they feel at home, too. Set up a soft spot at your front window for Snowball to spy on the neighbors all day, or just sleep away the afternoon in the sun. And for Rover, modify an end table or lower cabinet for him to sit in, so he can be close to you but not underfoot. Putting pet beds in their favorite lounging spaces will also help keep them from lying in the middle of the floor.
Life at Centennial
Homes at Centennial have room for everyone in your family, especially your pets. They offer flex rooms that you can customize, or you can designate a section of the laundry room or walk-in pantry for your furry friends. Covered patios and backyards give you both space to run around and play. Plus, there is a 10-acre sports park at the heart of the community, great for walking your dogs and spending more time in nature.
You don’t have to go far to find a park that caters to your pup. In and around Menifee, there are several dog parks that Rover will love. Just 3 miles from Centennial, Aldergate Dog Park is a favorite among dog parents. Located within Aldergate Park, this dog park is an off-leash haven for small and large dogs alike – with a separate area for dogs under 35 pounds. There is also a dog park within Heroes Park, which features five separate fenced-in dog areas, some on-leash and some off. It is open from dusk to dawn and is only 5.1 miles from Centennial. E. L. Pete Peterson Park has a smaller, off-leash park with a few agility obstacles for dogs to use. It is 5.6 miles from Centennial and is often called Menifee Dog Park.
If Rover needs a bath and a haircut, but you don’t have time to take him to the groomer, then you have another option. Bath and Doggie Works is a mobile dog grooming service that will go to you! They serve Menifee, Sun City, Canyon Lake and areas of Murrieta. Owner Vivianna is a Certified Professional Groomer and Certified Salon Professional, and specializes in grooming elderly and nervous pets, as well as those with skin conditions.
Restaurants and Wineries
Aptly named, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is dog-friendly and 12.5 miles from Centennial. Your pups can join you at one of their pet-friendly tables and choose from their own menu with options like hamburger patties, and grilled chicken and brown rice.
There are even dog-friendly wineries in nearby Temecula. Twenty-one miles from Centennial, Gershon Bachus Vintners welcomes dogs, and has a resident dog, Frankie Sinatra, watching over the place. Take Rover along when you go for a wine tasting. With a cool breeze blowing through, relaxing music in the background and your best friend by your side, this is a great place to spend an afternoon.
Baily Vineyard & Winery also caters to pooches. Their restaurant, Carol’s, has a patio for dogs and their humans. And, every Sunday is Dog Day Sunday at Carol’s, complete with doggie menu. Rover can chow down on his “Chewbarka chicken breast” while you clink glasses with your friends. And, in the tasting room, he can rest on the cool floor, while you swirl and sip your samples. Cheers!
